Following a sell-out world tour accompanying Rodrigo y Gabriela, percussionist Edwin Sanz has created San Augustin, a homage to one of the most lively, vibrant barrios in Caracas. From the screaming latin-rock guitar of Dany Labana to the intense salsa timbales of Luis Quintero and soul tones of Naomi Phillips salsa cover of Des ree s You Gotta Be, this vocal salsa album lives and breathes expressive latin fire with guaranteed dance floor fillers. Produced in collaboration with award-winning pianist, Alex Wilson, one of Europe s leading latin musicians.Since then Edwin plays with many bands, gives classes and also enjoys recordings.
